Ashford

Bull is the Behemoth’s security chief under Captain Ashford. Their authority conflicts over Bull’s extrajudicial killing of Alexi, though Ashford allows Bull to return to work under a new rule.

Clarissa is part of Ashford’s command group and provides technical assistance when he asks her to work on the bridge systems. She also quietly obstructs his efforts when she believes sacrifice is necessary to protect others.

Fred is a senior OPA leader overseeing the mission and places Ashford in command of the Behemoth.

Cortez helped engineer Ashford’s escape and reconquest of the Behemoth, and remains among his senior advisers. He supports destroying the Ring, though Clarissa observes that Ashford’s authority and control of the ship matter deeply to him.

Pa is Ashford’s XO and advises him during the crisis. She initially enforces his command structure but ultimately supports Bull’s assessment and argues that the Behemoth must act against the Rocinante.

Ruiz is an engineer Ashford orders to prepare the system that will let him fire the comm laser. She reports progress under pressure but does not have complete knowledge of Sam’s sabotage.

Bull dislikes and distrusts Ashford, whom he considers vain and unreliable. Bull is assigned to serve under him as chief security officer on the Behemoth.

Holden’s forces oppose Ashford’s violent bid to control the Behemoth and fire the laser. Holden risks his life to delay Ashford’s armored reinforcements and reach the bridge.

Ashford orders Sam to modify the communications laser into a weapon capable of destroying the Ring. Sam secretly sabotages the upgrades to prevent him from firing it.
