The Rocinante is Holden’s ship, a compact black vessel whose stubby wedge of a hull looks like a fat chisel laid on its side. Its drive cone dominates the tail, while domed projections and a pale plastic bubble break up its plain silhouette. The book shows it battered, including a hole in its cargo doors, yet unmistakably itself: a hard-used ship with a stubborn presence.
Description
The Rocinante is a stubby black wedge of metal, its hull shaped like a fat chisel laid on its side. The broad, mostly flat surface is broken by domed projections, with a massive drive cone at the tail. A bubble of plastic clings to the ship, pale as a blister, and a hole marks the cargo doors. Its compact, blunt silhouette has the practical, battered presence of a working vessel.
