Elise Holden is one of the family members connected to James Holden, glimpsed only at the margins of his life in the Belt and beyond. In Caliban's War she appears on a video call, her laugh lines deeper and her smile stiff, a strained composure that makes the distance between Holden and his Earth family feel acute. By Abaddon's Gate she is the one who brings Holden grim family news, telling him that Rufus probably will not last the night. Her brief appearances quietly mark the cost of Holden's life far from home.
Description
Elise has dark brown hair so deep it is almost black, with gray streaks running through it. Deep laugh lines crease the skin around her eyes and mouth, lending her face a history of expression. On screen, she wears a stiff smile and makes quick, dismissive gestures. Her build, eye color, and clothing are not specified.
