Miles Dagouter, called Miles Hundredlives, was once a celebrated lawkeeper of Weathering in the Roughs, a Twinborn whose gold-feruchemy and Allomantic healing made him nearly impossible to kill. In The Alloy of Law he is revealed as the masked leader of the Vanishers, funded by Mister Suit and the Set, and his arrogant belief that his powers entitle him to rule ends in his defeat at the hands of his old colleague Waxillium Ladrian, Wayne, and Marasi Colms, followed by capture and execution. In later books he survives only as a memory: an example of near-immortality in The Bands of Mourning, and, in The Lost Metal, the speaker of cryptic dying words about men of gold and red that foreshadow the series' larger mysteries.

Description

A human man wearing a black knit mask that covers his face except for his eyes. His build and height fit the suspected bandit boss; he carries aluminum revolvers and has metalminds embedded through the skin of his lower arms. A human man; no physical features are described in the supplied text. The text provides no physical description of Miles. His age, build, skin tone, hair, eyes, face, attire, and distinguishing features are unspecified; the epithet “the Marksman” does not establish a visual appearance. A male with an appearance typical of their role in the story. No physical details are given for Miles beyond that he is an adult man. His height, build, skin tone, hair, eyes, facial features, clothing, and distinguishing marks are unspecified. A faithful visual depiction should therefore leave those traits undetermined. A human man known as Miles Hundredlives, shown without distinctive physical details established by the text. Present him in understated clothing suited to the industrial-era world of the story, with a composed, grave expression that suggests a man speaking as he dies; avoid prominent scars, unusual coloring, or other unsupported features.
