Amayon is the youngest of the four demon princes of Sheol, a son of Queen Consort Ugloo and brother to the self-proclaimed King, Crown Prince Stalwart. Exiled and trapped inside the shell of the once-worshiped sea serpent Madre de Aguas in The Eye of the Bedlam Bride, he spends the book struggling against the controlling grip of Sister Ines Quiteria and his vengeful former lover Ysalte, the mother of his child, while pouring fire skyward to open a portal home. Carl's dangerous gambit to free and empower him lets crawlers escape and lets Amayon reclaim his path back to Sheol, where he leverages secret knowledge of the murder of Emberus's son Geyrun in a bid to kill his three brothers. By This Inevitable Ruin he is spoken of as a Sheol demon whose fraternal ambitions linger in the background.
