Duarte emerges as a force in the struggle aboard the ship, joining powerful figures from the UN Navy, the Martians, and civilian leadership in retaking control. He helps target those connected with the earlier mutiny, then moves with calculated authority through the ship, his anger sharpening into violence. Even when composed, he projects the threat of a man who wants others to feel the force of his will.

Description

Duarte is a male Belter whose head is described as just too large, giving his silhouette a striking, disproportionate quality. His face can appear stony with rage, and his expressions range from a scowl to a smile that feels threatening rather than warm. He carries himself with controlled authority, sometimes standing with his hands clasped behind his back. His hair, eyes, complexion, build, age, and clothing are not specified.
