Robert Fagan is introduced as Tilly’s wealthy husband and a campaign contributor, but the book offers little sense of him beyond his resources and habits. At two in the morning, he shuts himself away with business reports, stock values, and spreadsheets. Later, he is told to buy the Rocinante; no further account of his response or fate is given.
