Asojano is an Orisha deity who appears in The Eye of the Bedlam Bride as a striking, bone-white figure in a straw skirt and face-concealing headdress, fire licking from his bare feet as he wields a reed-and-seashell wand. He asks Paz, whom he recognizes as a Santero, to repair his shrine so he can depart and the ghommids can be freed. The quest puts Carl's party at risk from his disease and his ghommid followers, and it horrifies Sister Ines, who sees him as a false god. Defeated and captured, Asojano becomes a totem in Donut's deck, and he is later fused with Uzi Jesus to create Lazarus A-Bang-Bang. By This Inevitable Ruin he survives mainly as a reference, including mentions of his accent, his legacy carried on through the combined being.

Description

A well-muscled, barefoot man with bone-white, almost translucent skin. He wears a straw skirt to his knees and a straw headdress that completely obscures his face, extending down to his waist. Tendrils of fire flicker from his bare feet and legs; he carries a wand made of reeds bound with colorful string and decorated with seashells. The supplied text gives no description of Asojano's appearance, clothing, or manner.
