Elain Archeron, the gentle middle sister of the Archeron family, begins the series as a soft-spoken gardener and peacemaker in her impoverished human household, quietly supporting her father and sisters during Feyre's absence in Prythian. By A Court of Mist and Fury, she has become engaged to Graysen, the son of a Fae-hating human lord, yet she welcomes Feyre home with open joy and risks her engagement to host the Night Court's allies. Her story turns tragic when she is seized and forcibly Made High Fae in the Cauldron, shattering the human life and future she had built and leaving her bound to Lucien Vanserra as his mate.
Description
Elain Archeron has porcelain-pale skin and gold-brown hair coiled neatly atop her head. Her brown eyes are gentle and expressive, set in a delicate face that flushes easily with emotion. She carries a slim build and favors practical yet feminine attire like a simple muslin gardening dress paired with a large floppy hat, projecting an air of quiet prettiness and domestic grace. A beautiful, soft-featured young woman with pale, creamy skin, golden-brown hair worn half up, wide molten-chocolate eyes, and a slender, delicate appearance. Before her transformation she has rounded human ears. Her clothing varies by scene: a cobalt silk dress, a pale pink-and-blue dress, or a silk-and-lace nightgown; at the bay window she wears an iron ring.
