Corporal Travis is a Martian Marine serving in Gunnery Sergeant Bobbie Draper's squad on Ganymede. Clad in powered armor with Martian surface camouflage, he is part of the patrol that encounters a protomolecule-driven monster during the Ganymede incident and is killed alongside most of his squadmates. Though a background figure with no individual arc, his death helps show the human cost of the protomolecule threat and becomes part of the survivor's grief that drives Bobbie's story.
Description
Average build man in 20s-30s, clad in Martian powered armor with red camouflage patterning. Helmet obscures face, but posture is erect and vigilant, rifle at ready. Solid, disciplined presence suited for high-stakes patrol. Travis is identified as a male Martian Marine wearing powered armor in a Martian surface camouflage pattern. The armor defines his visible silhouette, while the text supplies no details about his face, hair, eyes, coloring, or build. His appearance is primarily that of a prepared soldier in full protective gear.
