Alethkar is the powerful, war-loving kingdom of the Alethi, ruled from its capital Kholinar by the Kholin dynasty. In The Way of Kings it stands at the height of its strength, its highprinces united under King Elhokar in the vengeance war against the Parshendi on the Shattered Plains, though bitter rivalry divides them. By Rhythm of War the kingdom has fallen. After the Everstorm, Odium's singers and the Fused have seized Kholinar and occupied the Alethi homeland, leaving its exiled people and their leaders to fight from Urithiru and the battlefields of Emul.
