Dockson, Kelsier's longtime friend and the crew's indispensable administrator, began as a plantation-born skaa who fled after Lord Devinshae took and murdered his beloved Kareien. In The Final Empire he ran the crew's finances, personnel and logistics, organizing Yeden's rebel army and carrying out Kelsier's posthumous plan to seize Luthadel. Under Elend Venture he became the new government's chief bureaucrat, a pragmatic advisor whose distrust of nobility never fully faded. He fell during the koloss assault on Luthadel, and his death closed the era of Kelsier's original crew.

Description

A shorter-than-Kelsier, moderately stocky man with a squarish face, black close-cropped straight hair, and a short dark half-beard. He wears a middle-class nobleman’s suit, typically a colored vest with a dark coat and trousers; at times he covers it with a nondescript brown hooded cloak. In shirt and slacks he looks trim and awake. A stocky man without being fat, Dockson has short dark hair and a customary half beard that frames his thoughtful face. He possesses the dependable, practical build of an organized rebel leader who spends long hours over ledgers and plans, with fair skin showing little sign of frontline labor and a steady, intelligent gaze suited to his role coordinating operations in the shadowed streets and noble houses of Luthadel. Middle-aged with a solid, broad-shouldered build, his face features a stern jaw and thoughtful eyes under short-cropped dark hair graying at the temples. Clad in practical vests and trousers suited to a planner's life, faint lines of experience crease his brow. He carries a no-nonsense presence, movements efficient and assured.
