Darius III, also known as Darius Codomannus, was the last king of the Achaemenid Persian Empire, defeated by Alexander the Great. Despite his military losses, his family's treatment by the victorious Alexander demonstrated remarkable respect for royal dignity. His story serves as a parallel to other fallen dynasties, illustrating how even defeated kings might find mercy in their conquerors.

Description

A middle-aged Persian king with olive-toned skin and dark hair and beard. He wears royal Persian attire, though his circumstances have reduced his former splendor. His bearing retains noble dignity despite adversity.
