Yuglid

Kizzie sees an impossibly tall, bald man watching after Glissandi’s death. He neither intervenes nor explains himself, but his presence unnerves her and appears connected to the murder’s aftermath.

Aristanes calls the Tall Man a monster like himself and has him waiting in the office as an apparent enforcer. The Tall Man attacks Kizzie and Montego when the confrontation turns violent.

Volos and the Tall Man are Yuglid. She disapproves of Aristanes’s cause and treats the dead creature as a fellow being, calling it the Angry One.

Montego kills the wounded Tall Man after it threatens Kizzie, ultimately ripping off its head. The Yuglid had considered Montego worthy of a song after their earlier fight.
