General Stavri

Demir takes command after Stavri’s disastrous defeat and criticizes the prior leadership, while planning to outperform him against Kerite.

Stavri commands the campaign in which Idrian serves. His withdrawal orders threaten Idrian’s chance to retrieve the cinderite, though Idrian proceeds with his mission.

Tadeas and Idrian receive Stavri’s orders to withdraw and report to the Copper Hills; Tadeas risks discipline by helping Idrian pursue a private mission.

Stavri’s Ossan forces face Kerite’s Drakes and their Grent allies. Kerite outmaneuvers his by-the-book defensive plan and decisively defeats the Legion.
