The Dream is one of the powerful off-world factions with a stake in the dungeon crawl, first seen projecting its strength from orbit in The Eye of the Bedlam Bride. There its cruisers hang over the planet and give it leverage in negotiations over the rules of engagement: it pushes for limits on long-range artillery, and when safety protections are stripped away, one of its ships threatens nuclear force. By This Inevitable Ruin the faction gains named faces, its adjutant Fopsy and its warlord Tagg, and it is even discussed as a potential target. This marks its shift from a faceless fleet to an organization with identifiable leaders and vulnerabilities.
Description
The Dream has no individual physical appearance described; it is a faction rather than a person. Its visible presence is represented by cruisers in orbit, large vessels against the darkness of space. Their scale and position above the planet give the faction a distant, imposing presence. No specific colors, insignia, or designs are given. The Dream is described as a faction or corporation, not as a person. It has no specified body, face, coloring, clothing, or physical features, and no visual design or insignia is provided.
