Hellik is a fire-aspected deity of the dungeon's pantheon, worshipped by rams and mantaurs who hold him above his bitter rival Emberus. Introduced in The Eye of the Bedlam Bride as Emberus's prime suspect in the murder of his son Geyrun, despite a reported alibi, Hellik becomes the target of a quest Emberus gives Carl. In This Inevitable Ruin he finally appears in person, a surprisingly friendly god with a heat aura who spares Carl and saves him from Khepri. He marks Carl as a friend of his church and sends him back to Emberus with a plea. Hellik insists he did not kill Geyrun and still loves his brother, and he warns that their sister Apito has been corrupted, possibly by the returned Nekhebit.

Description
