Thorsson appears as a naval intelligence officer whose narrow frame and unnerving, carefully managed expression make him difficult to read. His smile rarely reaches beyond the corners of his mouth, and even apparent warmth can turn into a restrained frown. The book gives no larger personal history or transformation, but his controlled manner defines his brief presence.
Description
Thorsson is very tall and thin, his narrow body often set in formal naval intelligence attire. His face is tight and gaunt, with a skull-like sharpness beneath the skin; narrowed eyes glitter with a reptilian brightness. A slight upturn at the corners of his mouth suggests a smile without softening his expression, lending him a taut, unsettling presence.
