Amark appears among the mine workers, sitting at a table in clothes as battered and dust-coated as the rest of his surroundings. Later, he is remembered among the bridgemen who have died; beyond these brief glimpses, the book gives little of his story.
Description
Amark is a male mine worker, shown sitting at a table with a sniffly, tired air. His clothing is little better than a bridgeman’s, and dust and grime coat it so densely that it is difficult to distinguish dirty fabric from grimy skin. The text gives no further details about his build, hair, eyes, or facial features.
