The Tracker Tile begins as a mundane Will-tracking device issued to students during the festival in The Will of the Many, but its significance expands dramatically as the series progresses. Initially dismissed as simple hardware, the tile becomes a critical tool for surveillance and control, later revealing hidden capabilities that tie into the Hierarchy's deeper secrets. Its evolution from a passive locator to an active instrument of power mirrors the growing complexity of the world and the stakes facing the protagonists.
