The Hierarchy Symbol first manifests in The Will of the Many as a colossal three-pronged bronze pyramid fused into a dark stone wall, later revealed to be a ten-foot red-glass sigil that fractures and opens when activated by spoken words. Across the series, this emblem evolves from a static architectural feature into a dynamic, voice-activated gateway that embodies the Hierarchy’s control over access, secrets, and power. Its transformation from inert monument to responsive mechanism mirrors the protagonists’ growing understanding of the Hierarchy’s hidden mechanisms and the potential to subvert them.
