Helmfrid's Short Sword begins as a simple, non-Hierarchy steel blade clutched by an untrained Anguis operative in The Will of the Many. Across the series, the weapon evolves from a personal sidearm into a symbol of resistance and legacy, its significance deepening as it passes through pivotal hands and moments. Its journey mirrors the broader struggle against the Hierarchy, transforming from an individual tool of survival into an emblem of defiance and continuity.
