Deopolis, the grand capital of Sytrece, begins as a distant symbol of imperial might in the first book of The Hierarchy series. While initially introduced only as the seat of power, its looming presence shapes the political ambitions and personal stakes of characters across the continent. As the series progresses, Deopolis evolves from a static emblem of authority into a dynamic crucible of rebellion, intrigue, and transformation, reflecting the shifting balance of power in Sytrece.
