Peeves the Poltergeist is Hogwarts' undying agent of chaos, a small, wicked-eyed spirit who floats cross-legged through the castle dropping objects, taunting students, and defying every authority figure who tries to rein him in. Across the early books his mischief grows from simple pranks to gleeful exploitation of genuine crises, as when he mocks Harry as the 'heir of Slytherin' and revels in the panic over petrified students. By the time of the Triwizard Tournament he has become a fixture of school life in his bell-covered hat and orange bow tie, pelting students with water bombs, ignoring Professor McGonagall, and serving as Argus Filch's favourite scapegoat. Loyal to no one and answerable only, reluctantly, to Dumbledore, Peeves embodies the anarchic heart of Hogwarts itself.

Description

A little man with wicked black eyes that narrow and squint with mischief and a wide mouth from which he sticks out his tongue in taunting fashion floats cross-legged in the air. His small form darts and hovers effortlessly with chaotic energy while his face twists into impish expressions as he prepares to drop objects or cause trouble. As Hogwarts resident poltergeist this small airborne troublemaker has a pale translucent quality to his skin and a wiry build that perfectly suits his role as the castle's eternal prankster. An ethereal poltergeist with a wide wicked face locked in a broad, malicious grin, bobbing overhead in perpetual motion. Bright orange party hat sits askew atop wild hair, paired with a frantically revolving bow tie and mismatched colorful garb. His form lacks ghostly pallor or transparency, brimming with vibrant chaotic energy. Presence crackles with gleeful anarchy, ready to unleash havoc. An ethereal poltergeist with a translucent, pale blue form that floats effortlessly, often upside down with curly-toed feet wiggling playfully. His wild face grins maniacally with sharp teeth and wide cackling mouth, dressed in tattered bell-bottomed trousers and a waistcoat. He moves with boisterous energy, leaving trails of mischief in his wake. A little male poltergeist with a wide, malicious face, wearing a bell-covered hat and an orange bow tie. He floats and moves about while cackling, sticking out his tongue, and causing mischief.
