Warlord Fang's record across the series is fragmentary and partly contradictory. In The Eye of the Bedlam Bride, a crawler named Fang is said to have held a key, been caught in Lucia Mar's teleport trap, and been killed along with his wife. In This Inevitable Ruin, Fang appears as the leader of the Reaver Security Force Cyborg Drop Troopers: a slight young man whose human look hides a body that is 99 percent cybernetic and can change shape, which lets him evade even Li Na's marking. He is reported killed when a dragon explodes and scatters his biological material, though the circumstances leave his true fate uncertain.
Description
No visual description of Fang is provided. His build, coloring, hair, eyes, face, clothing, and distinguishing features are all unspecified, so a faithful portrait should not assign him invented traits. Fang is a slight, thin young man with wide eyes and skin that is just a little too pink, as though his human appearance has been subtly miscalibrated. A line of flashing lights runs along the side of his temple, the clearest visible sign of his heavily cybernetic body. In the described scene he wears a simple T-shirt and white underwear, an oddly exposed, unceremonious outfit. His fragile-looking frame and alert gaze give him a hard-to-place, elusive presence.
