First known as a tiny, fist-sized tummy acher, Rend bonds with Carl and quickly becomes a beloved, exuberant companion. He is passed along to Carl by Ren, and his appetite and loyalty become as memorable as his constant giggling and purring. As he consumes skunk warriors, he grows dramatically larger, eventually bringing his Wrecking Ball skill to bear. Through every change in size, his round, toothy, doglike charm remains unmistakably his own.

Description

Rend is a round, armless creature with two short, stout legs and an enormous mouth that opens beneath a pronounced underbite. A single rounded tooth sticks straight up; its gleaming silver cap is a distinctive accent, while a sparse patch of black hairs dots the top of his head. His small, compact body gives him a soft, ball-like silhouette, and he carries himself with bouncy, eager enthusiasm. He is often seen purring, giggling, or looking delightedly alert.
