Alpha Carl is a summoned totem version of Carl, called forth by Donut during the seventh floor's chaos in The Eye of the Bedlam Bride. Fiercely fond of the original Carl, he refuses Carl's request to nearly kill him, yet proves useful in his own forceful way, bullying Raul into action before his abrupt end when Shi Maria drives a leg through the back of his head and his face explodes over Carl. In This Inevitable Ruin he is remembered as Carl with much better hair and a cooler voice, an idealized echo of the crawler who lingers more as a punchline than a fully realized character.
Description
Alpha Carl is a male totem version of Carl, with a face recognizable as the figure’s defining feature. The text establishes the totem form but does not describe his coloring, hair, eyes, build, or clothing. His presentation is bold and uncanny, as though a familiar identity has been turned into a symbolic object. Alpha Carl is said to resemble Carl, distinguished by better hair and a much cooler-sounding voice. The text does not specify his hair’s color or style, nor his face, eyes, skin tone, build, age, clothing, or accessories. Keep those visual details open rather than treating the comparison as a complete portrait.
