Once an Aes Sedai, Mylene is captured and made damane, her life reshaped by the Seanchan leash and the authority of her sul’dam. In Tuon she finds the focus of an almost worshipful devotion, a bond that defines her place in the Seanchan household. Her brief appearance is a glimpse of the terrible intimacy through which captivity can be made to feel like belonging.
Description
Mylene is short, with the smooth, ageless features associated with an Aes Sedai and a quiet, softened expression. Her face is composed rather than striking, her hair kept simply, and her bearing suggests careful attentiveness. A visible a’dam collar encircles her neck, the unmistakable sign of her status as damane. Her presence is subdued and reverent, as if she is always listening for the attention of someone nearby.
