Once employed as tutor to the Kurágins, the Swiss appears later among the men gathered for a Masonic meeting. Beyond that shift of setting, the text gives him no developed personal arc or named relationships; he remains a brief, unobtrusive figure at the edge of the story.
Description
The text identifies him as a Swiss man and formerly a tutor, but gives no description of his height, build, complexion, hair, eyes, or face. His clothing and distinguishing features are likewise unspecified. Any fuller portrait would go beyond what the book establishes.
