Henri d’Orléans is mentioned as an explorer who visited Lob-nor and found it greatly diminished in size. The account offers no further detail about his travels or personal life, leaving him as a brief point of comparison between Marco Polo’s world and later journeys. His role is small, but his observation suggests how even familiar landmarks can alter across time.
