Grynæus is identified as a Swiss scholar and publisher connected with the Novus Orbis, which contained a Latin version of Polo’s work. His place in the account is that of a transmitter of knowledge: the text preserves his role in bringing writings into print, but tells us little else about his life.
Description
The available account identifies Grynæus as Swiss, a scholar, and a publisher, but does not describe his appearance. His height, build, complexion, hair, eyes, facial features, clothing, and any distinguishing marks are not specified.
