Buckland

• Organization

Buckland is a settled hobbit colony east of the Brandywine, a strip of land thickly inhabited with dwellings burrowed into the low Buck Hill. Brandy Hall dominates as a vast many-windowed mansion with glowing round windows, while the tall living hedge of the High Hay separates the territory from the looming Old Forest to the east. The overall impression is of a comfortable but wary outpost, with houses like Crickhollow offering quieter retreats amid lawns and trees.
