Gamling the Old, a weathered leader from Westfold, stood firm at Helm's Dike as one of the last defenders, rallying men with cries of 'Helm! Helm! Forth Helmingas!' before leaping into battle alongside Éomer. Emerging from the Deep after the siege with Éomer and Gimli, he survived the cataclysmic defense of the Hornburg against Saruman's horde. His grizzled resolve embodied the enduring spirit of Rohan's elders, fighting valiantly to hold the line for Théoden's kingdom.
Description
Stooped slightly with age yet sturdy and unyielding, Gamling bears a weathered face deeply lined by decades of wind and war, his long grey hair flowing wildly in battle. Piercing eyes burn with fierce determination beneath bushy brows, set in a rugged visage marked by Rohan's harsh life. His lean, aged muscular build is clad in battle-worn chainmail and leather, often gripping a sword or shield. He moves with the vital energy of a veteran, his grizzled presence radiating defiant endurance.
