Elladan rides with the Grey Company, one of the tall, dark-haired companions whose elven fairness stands apart amid the Dúnedain. He accompanies Aragorn along the perilous Paths of the Dead, where he holds the torches as Aragorn kneels before the bones. Later he is named among the elf-lords who come with Aragorn from the ships, his loyalty and steady presence carrying through the struggle for Gondor.
Description
Elladan is tall, with a build not otherwise specified, and appears neither young nor old. His dark hair frames an elven-fair face, and his eyes are grey; stars mark his brow. Bright mail shows beneath a silver-grey cloak, and his attire is less sombre than that of the other Dúnedain. His bearing is composed and quietly radiant.
