Bill the Pony, bought from Bill Ferny in Bree, starts as a shaggy, trembling beast terrified by wargs and the Watcher's grasp in Moria. Restored in Rivendell to glossy coat and youthful vigor, he carries the Fellowship's packs through snow, screening the hobbits faithfully. Led by Gandalf with Gimli on baggage, Bill proves indispensable before being left at Rauros, his simple loyalty a bright thread in the darkening tale.
Description
A sturdy pony with a shaggy or glossy coat depending on care, this adult male has a strong, compact build. Laden with a pack saddle carrying blankets, food, and supplies, he stands patiently, often up to his hocks in snow. His demeanor mixes steadfastness with occasional fear.
