Jaspin is the fever-mad boy tied to a cot to prevent harm, encountered in Tarbean's streets where Kvothe observes his plight. He howls and thrashes against restraints in his brief scenes. His misery underscores the city's desperate underclass before Kvothe moves on.
Description
A frail boy restrained to a cot, Jaspin thrashes with fever-mad intensity, his thin limbs bound to prevent harm. Pale skin stretches over hollow cheeks, wild hair matted with sweat, eyes wild and unseeing. His presence is one of raw desperation, filling the air with howls.
