Sa'id is a Martian Marine and mech pilot assigned to the Ganymede patrol, where he operates the combat mech Yojimbo with swaggering confidence, boasting that he can make the machine dance the tango. His bravado is cut brutally short when the protomolecule hybrid attacks, tearing open the Yojimbo's pilot hatch and hurling him roughly sixty meters to his death. Though he appears only briefly, his fate serves as a stark early demonstration that even elite pilots in powered armor are helpless against the alien horror. The book data assigns the episode to both Leviathan Wakes and Caliban's War. The Ganymede attack is chiefly associated with Caliban's War, so the Leviathan Wakes entry may be a cataloguing error.
Description
Average build man in 20s-30s, fit for mech piloting, with short dark hair and focused eyes. Clad in form-fitting Martian pilot gear inside the Yojimbo mech cockpit. Alert posture, hands on controls, exuding the tense readiness of a seasoned operator. Sa'id is identified as a male Marine, but the text does not describe his face, hair, eyes, complexion, height, or build. His clearest visual association is the Yojimbo combat mech he pilots; no specific uniform details or personal accessories are provided. His manner comes across as confident and showy, like a pilot proud of his machine.
