Cameron Paj starts as a typical ice hauler, toiling in the brutal conditions of the Belt until a month-old injury from a falling ice block claims his left forearm below the elbow. In a single poignant moment in the chaos of Chapter 1, his stump is debrided amid the unfolding disaster, marking him as one of the countless unsung workers caught in the system's indifferent cruelty. He fades into the background, a brief emblem of the human cost of labor in the void, his loss underscoring the precarious lives of Belters everywhere.
Description
Cameron Paj is a man in his 30s with the sturdy, compact build of a lifelong working man, broad-shouldered and thickly muscled from hauling ice. His fair skin is roughened and pale from constant exposure to cold, framing a square-jawed face with deep-set gray eyes and short, practical dark hair cropped close. His most striking feature is his left arm, amputated below the elbow, ending in a bandaged stump from a recent injury. He wears a standard-issue gray jumpsuit, grease-stained and patched, tucked into heavy insulated boots, with a no-nonsense presence that speaks of endurance over flash.
