Tsealsir, the battered Culture shuttle, aids Horza after his escape from the CAT, her crude voice and round sensors guiding him through space. Damaged when Horza shoots her brain in paranoia, she fills with smoke and fire before falling silent. Her demise highlights Horza's distrust and the brutal stakes of his quest.
Description
Tsealsir is an old-fashioned, crude Culture shuttle, well-used and far from neat or new, with visible wear and damage. Round eye sensors dot the ceiling of her compartments, paired with emitters for her crudely synthesized voice. Scars from shootings mar her interior, with smoke and fires occasionally issuing from her injured brain core.
