Subordinate-Captain Quayanorl Gidborux Stoghrle III fights as an Idiran antagonist in the temple battle on Schar's World, his armored suit holed and charred. Severely wounded—limbs amputated, eyes smashed, face shot—he crawls dying, leaving bloody trails before being crushed dead in a train crash. His slow, mutilated demise exemplifies the Idirans' fanatical endurance in their war against the Culture.

Description

This Idiran has a keratin brain cover and internal keratin structures, armored suit bearing burn marks and holes. Missing limbs, with a charred head on one side, cracked keratin below the left eye socket, and one dead eye jammed open with pus. One good eye remains, face partially shot but one side intact. His presence is mutilated yet imposingly warrior-like, body twisted in agony.
