Gloryspren are emotion spren drawn to feelings of triumph, accomplishment, and glory, appearing in the Physical Realm as golden spheres of light that hover above those who have achieved something remarkable. In The Way of Kings they mark moments of victory, most strikingly as hundreds of glowing orbs above a triumphant army. By Rhythm of War, as the series delves deeper into the nature of spren and the Cognitive Realm, gloryspren are revealed to have far stranger forms: bulbous, chicken-like creatures with flapping wings, part of a broader portrayal of emotion spren as more organic and beastly beings than their simple Physical Realm appearances suggest.
