Wistiow was the elderly lighteyed citylord of Hearthstone, a minor but pivotal figure whose death set the stage for Kaladin's family troubles. The spheres he left to Lirin, Kaladin's father, became a source of suspicion and conflict with his successor, while his daughter Laral inherited what remained of his house and its prospects. Though long dead by the later books, Wistiow surfaces again in Rhythm of War as the man who once paid money for the parshwoman Abiajan, quietly linking him to the larger story of the Singers' awakening.
Description
Wistiow is identified as an elderly male lighteyes and a former citylord, with a stuffy, formal impression. The text gives no specific account of his height, build, hair, eyes, facial features, or usual clothing, so those details remain unknown.
