Shalash, the Herald of Beauty, lingers only as a name in The Way of Kings, an echo of the ancient Oathpact whose story has yet to surface. By Rhythm of War she has become a living, if guarded, presence at Urithiru: a beautiful, reticent woman of Makabaki appearance with curiously Shin-like features who tends to the broken Herald Taln and carries a sword wherever she goes.
