Highprince Roion is one of Alethkar's ruling lighteyes, first seen in the warcamps of the Shattered Plains as a carefully groomed but cautious nobleman who rebuffs Dalinar Kholin's bid for alliance. His wariness reflects the divided loyalties that hampered the Alethi war effort. By the time of the tower's occupation, the source material identifies him only as a highprince in Urithiru who has died, with his son chosen to succeed him, while his soldiers fight on under other commanders in the defense against the invasion.
Description
Roion is tall and light-skinned, with a dark beard trimmed close and neat, thinning hair on top. He wears a short jacket left open at the front, with red fabric showing at the collar. His appearance is formal and restrained, his height and composed bearing marking him as a high-ranking man accustomed to courtly company. Roion is described as a young man and the youngest highprince in the tower. The text provides no specific details about his build, skin tone, hair, eyes, face, or clothing. His high rank implies a courtly station, but no particular garments or visual markers are specified.
