Restares begins as little more than a whispered name, invoked by Gavilar Kholin as a possible conspirator in the shadowy schemes surrounding his reign. By Rhythm of War, that name gains substance: Restares is revealed as the founder and leader of the Sons of Honor, the secret order bound up in Gavilar's earliest plans to return the Voidbringers and the Heralds. Paranoid and elusive, he has hidden himself among the honorspren of Lasting Integrity, where Veil, sent by Mraize and likely meant to kill him, unmasks him as the human posing as the High Judge.
Description
Restares is not physically present in the described scenes, and no appearance is supplied. Their age, build, coloring, hair, eyes, facial features, clothing, and demeanor are unknown. Any portrait should leave these details unassigned. Restares is a shorter human man with thinning hair, the only clear physical details the text supplies. His specific age, skin tone, eye color, facial features, and clothing are not described. He carries himself with a guarded, paranoid air, suggesting someone keenly alert to scrutiny. No particular accessory or distinguishing mark is specified.
