Isasik Shulin is a royal cartographer who remains largely in the background of the Stormlight Archive, yet his quiet presence charts the expanding horizons of the Alethi world. In The Way of Kings, he serves Dalinar Kholin by recreating maps of the Shattered Plains. By Rhythm of War, his work has carried him on an expedition into the eastern Shattered Plains, and he has developed a fascination with Shadesmar, the Cognitive Realm, suggesting a mind drawn beyond the boundaries of ordinary geography.
