Hatham is an Alethi highprince renowned for his impeccable manners and refined appearance, beneath which lies a shrewd instinct for self-preservation. On the Shattered Plains, he politely but firmly declines Dalinar Kholin's overtures for joint action, turning refusal into a graceful social ritual. By the time of the war against the Fused, he has receded into a logistical role, overseeing a supply chain from Azimir as the coalition's war effort stretches across Roshar.
Description
Hatham is long-necked and slender, with a refined, upright bearing. He wears a ruffled green shirt beneath a robe-like coat, finished with a darker green silk scarf around his neck. Every finger bears a ruby ring, each stone faintly glowing with the Stormlight drained from it. His carefully arranged clothes and courteous composure give him an air of deliberate highborn elegance. No physical description of Hatham is provided. His build, coloring, hair, eyes, face, age, and attire are unspecified; only his identity as a male highprince is stated.
