RipWings begin as elegant, Gold-only escort craft in Red Rising, then evolve into jagged, bat-like Blue-piloted patrol fighters on Luna in Golden Son, before becoming battle-scarred, multi-role starfighters used by both Society and Republic forces in Iron Gold. Across the series, their sleek, luxury-escort origins give way to rugged, front-line combat utility, reflecting the broader militarization and democratization of aerial/space warfare as the Rising spreads beyond Mars.
