Lightbringer begins as a whispered legend in the post-Sovereign era and gradually crystallizes into a living, breathing symbol of rebellion and redemption. Across the later volumes it shifts from an abstract ideal—spoken of in war councils and secret broadcasts—into a concrete mantle that Darrow must decide whether to claim, share, or destroy. By the final book its meaning has expanded beyond any single hero, becoming a beacon that rallies disparate factions even as it threatens to consume the man history insists must wear it.
