Luna, the seat of the Society's power and the largest moon of the Solar System, transforms from a distant, almost mythical capital in the early books into a brutal battleground that embodies the saga's shifting power dynamics. Initially glimpsed through political intrigue and aristocratic maneuvering, Luna becomes the epicenter of revolutionary upheaval as Darrow's forces challenge Gold supremacy. By Dark Age, the once-unassailable heart of the empire has fractured into warring factions, its gleaming spires now scarred by civil war and the collapse of the old order.
